USC MEN’S VOLLEYBALL
* County connections: Brad Callahan of Corona del Mar and Orange Coast College, Szilard Kovacs of Laguna Beach, Omar Rawi and Ryan Thurlow of Capistrano Valley.
* Worth noting: Kovacs has been the Trojans’ best player, leading the team in kills and blocks. Thurlow made his first start of the season Saturday in a three-game victory over UC San Diego, contributing 14 kills.
* Appearing locally: The Trojans (2-5) play at UC Irvine Saturday and at Long Beach State April 14.
