Follow the candles Saturday to downtown merchants holding holiday open houses from 5 to 10 p.m. and to the city’s annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at 5 p.m. at the Historic Town Center Park. Other holiday activities Saturday include carolers at the park at 4:30 and 5:30 p.m., Mission San Juan Capistrano’s music program from 6 to 7 p.m. and a Historical Society open house at the O’Neill House on Los Rios Street from 4 to 8 p.m. Information: (949) 493-4700.
