Authorities Seek Help in Tracking Fugitives

The Ventura County Sheriff’s Department is asking the public’s help in locating four fugitives.

Martin Vargas Aguilara, also known as Martin Aguilara Vargas, was arrested on suspicion of drug possession and released when charges were not filed. The case was later filed and a warrant was issued. His last known address was in the 1600 block of Calle Diamonte in Newbury Park.

Aguilara, 31, is Latino, 5 feet 7, 150 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes. He has a tattoo of a bat on his left biceps and an eagle on his chest.

Melody Marie Sterling, 33, was arrested on suspicion of possessing dangerous drugs for sale and being under the influence of drugs. She was released before paperwork was complete, and now a warrant has been issued.

Her last known address was in the 1200 block of Rambling Road in Simi Valley.

Sterling is white, 5 feet 7, 130 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes.

Pamela Maria Herrera, 36, was arrested last September for allegedly bringing a controlled substance into a county jail facility. She was released when paperwork wasn’t completed in time. A warrant has been issued for her arrest.

Her last known address was in the 2200 block of Magnolia Street in Simi Valley.

Herrera is Latina, 5 feet 7, 135 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes. She has two Indian feathers tattooed on her left thigh.

Also being sought is Rene Adam Barron. He was convicted of drug possession and being under the influence of drugs. A warrant was issued for his arrest after he allegedly failed to comply with the terms of his probation.

His last known address was in the 3400 block of Santa Clara Street in Oxnard. Barron, 22, is Latino, 5 feet 6, 135 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes. He has the name “Linda†tattooed on his back.
