Fire Damages Home of Ojai Woman, 90

OJAI — A fire heavily damaged the home of a 90-year-old woman Saturday evening, authorities said.
The woman, who was not identified, escaped uninjured from the house at 4280 Grand Ave. before fire crews arrived, said Ventura County Fire Department officials.
The blaze was put out in about 40 minutes. Flames reached an area of brush but were quickly extinguished, fire officials said.
The cause of the fire was under investigation. Damage had not been estimated but witnesses said it was extensive.
