In what is described as one of the largest industrial real estate lease transactions this year in Ventura County, an aircraft parts manufacturer has signed a 10-year, $8.5-million lease for a building in Simi Valley.
Fields Aircraft Spares Inc. will base its new headquarters at 4175 Guardian St. About 160 workers will be employed at the 122,484-square-foot building.
Fields was represented by Mitch Conlee of Daum Commercial Real Estate Services, who in a statement stressed the importance of the transaction because of the jobs and tax revenue it will generate. He said the company chose the property because of its central location in the county.
Through its subsidiaries, Fields Aircraft manufactures and distributes aircraft cabin interior replacement products. It also redistributes new parts applicable to various commercial aircraft models and manufacturers.
