With a shortage of left-handers in their bullpen, the Texas Rangers claimed reliever Greg Cadaret on waivers from the Angels. Cadaret, 36, was 1-2 with a 4.14 ERA in 39 relief appearances for the Angels. . . . The Cleveland Indians designated infielder Torey Lovullo for assignment, optioned pitcher Steve Karsay to triple-A Buffalo, recalled infielder Enrique Wilson from triple-A Buffalo and purchased the contract of pitcher Jim Poole.
