My only regret regarding Steve Fossett’s [unsuccessful] attempt to circle the globe via hot-air balloon, is that he didn’t land in a central African nation (Aug. 18). There he could have seen where the millions of dollars spent on his misadventure could have been better spent, i.e., feeding the starving.
