School’s Expansion Goes Before Council
Planning commissioners tonight will consider a plan to expand St. Anne School on Bear Brand Road.
The school proposes adding an administration and a classroom building, each two stories tall and about 30,000 square feet in size. A gymnasium is already under construction.
The growing private school sparked controversy last week when it won use of a nearby public park for physical education and recess. Residents complained that the school’s use of the park would restrict public access and increase noise.
The Planning Commission meets at 7 p.m in the City Council chambers, 27841 La Paz Road. Information: (949) 362-4300.
