Cubs Send Pitcher to Iowa

The Chicago Cubs sent struggling reliever Terry Adams to triple-A Iowa and called up pitcher Rodney Myers, who was also called up in July. . . . The San Diego Padres acquired outfielder Shea Morenz and right-hander Ray Ricken from the New York Yankees in exchange for right-handers Jim Bruske and Brad Kaufman. Both Morenz and Ricken will report to triple-A Las Vegas.
