ORANGE COUNTY EARNINGS

Metalclad Corp.: The Newport Beach company, which develops industrial waste treatment facilities in Mexico and provides insulation contracting in California, reported a net loss of $1.9 million, or 6 cents a share, for the first half of 1998, compared with a net loss of $2.3 million, or 8 cents a share, a year ago. Revenue increased 63% to $8 million from $4.9 million. Second-quarter results were not released.
