SUMMER EVENTS: Beth Knesset Bamidbar synagogue will host its popular Rabbi’s Table service at 6:30 p.m. Friday. CELEBRATIONS: The Valley Hindu Temple will celebrate the birth of Lord Sri Krishna and India’s Independence Day with a cultural program open to everyone. Actors will represent Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and Bapu Monhandas Gandhi from 7 p.m. to midnight today. Continuing the celebration, a children’s program will be presented from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday. NEW KINDERGARTEN: Temple Kol Tikvah will expand its children’s educational program by opening a kindergarten in September.
