Black Film Festival Seeking Entries for Competition

The Black Hollywood Film Festival is seeking entries for its first competitive event for black filmmakers.
The festival, a venue for public exhibition of and competition for work by black writers and directors, will be held Feb. 19-21 at the USC School of Cinema-Television.
Awards will be presented in five categories: feature-length narrative films or videos; feature-length documentary, film or video; best short film or video; student films or videos; and an audience choice award.
Screenplays will be judged in a separate storyteller competition.
Prizes will include cash awards, film school courses, books, software and publicity.
The deadline for submissions is Sept. 30.
