ORANGE COUNTY EARNINGS
Quality Systems Inc.: The Tustin provider of computer management systems for medical and dental practices posted a loss of $603,000, or 10 cents a share, for the fiscal first quarter, compared with a loss of $2.7 million, or 46 cents a share, a year ago. The previous figure included a $4.7-million charge related to Quality’s acquisition of MicroMed.
Revenue for the period ended June 30 rose slightly to $7.23 million from $7.17 million. The company said revenue was lower than expected, mainly because of a shortfall of orders at its MicroMed and Clinitec subsidiaries.
