Re “Panel OKs Historic Status for Cinerama Dome’s Exterior,” Aug. 6: Whenever I want to see a special movie in a special place, I go to the Cinerama Dome. It is truly with great sadness, then, that I read that the interior of this wonderful theater did not receive the historic protection that it deserves.
How can you continue to call a building the “Cinerama Dome” when you eliminate all aspects of Cinerama from the theater? Instead of cherishing what’s special about the city, our politicians are scheduling another part of our history for the wrecking ball.
