Mass Graves Found, Rights Group Says

Eleven mass graves believed to hold the remains of about 500 people have been found in Indonesia’s remote northern Aceh province, a human rights group said. The military has long been accused of killing and torture in Aceh, a strongly Muslim province where a separatist rebellion has been waged since the late 1980s, about 1,100 miles northwest of Jakarta, the capital.
