Bullett Has Big Game for Sting
Vicky Bullett logged her third consecutive double-double, scoring 19 points and grabbing a career-high 13 rebounds Monday night as the Charlotte Sting rallied to beat the Detroit Shock, 71-68, at Charlotte, N.C.
Charlotte (16-8) tied a franchise record by erasing an 18-point deficit.
Bullett had 15 points and nine rebounds in the second half to lead the rally. Her eight offensive rebounds were one short of the WNBA record held by teammate Sharon Manning.
Sandy Brondello led Detroit (12-11) with 21 points. Cindy Porter had 15 points and 10 rebounds and Korie Hlede added 10 for the expansion Shock, who fell to 1-3 in the season series against Charlotte.
