$5,000 Offered in Hunt for Robbery Suspect
A $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of a man suspected of robbing six convenience stores in the last two weeks, four of them in Orange County, police said.
A 7-Eleven in Buena Park, an AM/PM in Orange and two AM/PM stores in Garden Grove were robbed in a one-week period by a man brandishing a chrome handgun, Garden Grove Police Lt. John Woods said.
A Circle K and an AP Groceries in Glendale also have been robbed, he said.
The man enters the business and waits until customers leave, Woods said. He then pulls a gun on the clerk and demands money before leaving. No one has been injured in the robberies, but the suspect is considered armed and dangerous, Woods said.
ARCO, which owns AM/PM, pays a reward of up to $5,000 to the first person or persons who furnish information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone who commits a robbery on the premises of an ARCO facility.
Anyone with information on the robberies is asked to contact Garden Grove police at (714) 741-5815.
