David Bowie says that he refused to allow his “Ziggy Stardust”-era songs to be used in “Velvet Goldmine,” the upcoming movie about the glam-rock scene, because he intends to do his own movie based on his 1972 album “The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars.” He’ll be supplementing material from that collection by completing unfinished songs left over from those days, though no time frame has been set for the film’s production. . . .
The label named last week for the “Sabrina the Teenage Witch” album was incorrect. It’s coming from Geffen.*
