School District Honors Food Services Buyer
Food services buyer Mary Ida Trujillo has received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Capistrano Unified School District’s food services department.
Since she was hired in 1978, Trujillo has moved up the ranks from the cafeteria at Capistrano Valley High School to her promotion to buyer in 1987. She now handles purchases totaling more than $2.5 million annually.
The district’s recent 13th annual Food Services Awards Ceremony honored several other outstanding employees, including Dawn Kardos, who received a Silver Spoon Award for her work at Marco F. Forster Middle School.
