Semtech Plans to Acquire Edge Semiconductor
Semtech Corp. in Newbury Park has signed a letter of intent to acquire Edge Semiconductor for 750,000 common shares.
Semtech said it expects the transaction to immediately increase its earnings.
Company officials said the transaction, structured as a tax-free pooling of interests, should close by the end of the year if a definitive agreement is carried out.
Edge Semiconductor, based in San Diego, provides analog and mixed-signal circuits to the automated test-equipment market.
