Two reinforcements have arrived to help out the Green Bay Packers’ beleaguered defense.
Three-time Pro Bowl linebacker Seth Joyner, the team’s weapon in waiting, is practicing this week for the first time since undergoing arthroscopic surgery to remove cartilage from his left knee on Aug. 31.
Also Thursday, the Packers claimed cornerback Bucky Brooks off waivers from Jacksonville to patch up their thin secondary.
To make room for Brooks on the roster, the Packers released tight end Tyrone Davis.
