Joseph Lewis to Get Film Critics Honor

Joseph H. Lewis, director of the 1949 film noir classic “Gun Crazy,” has been named the recipient of the lifetime achievement award of the Los Angeles Film Critics Assn., the group announced Saturday.
Lewis will receive the award at the association’s annual gala at the Bel-Age Hotel in January. The 47-member critics group will announce the rest of its annual awards in December.
