L.A. Art Show to Emphasize Traditional
The Fine Art Dealers Assn. will hold its third annual Los Angeles Art Show Friday through Sept. 21 at UCLA’s John Wooden Center. The event will feature about 750 paintings and sculptures from 38 galleries nationwide.
Although a wide range of 18th through 20th century art will be shown, the emphasis is on traditional styles. Works of American Impressionism and the Hudson River, Taos and Santa Fe schools will be on view.
A $100-per-ticket gala opening reception benefiting CaP CURE, a cancer research organization, will be held Friday from 6-10 p.m. The show will be open Sept. 20, 11 a.m.-7 p.m.; and Sept. 21, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Admission: $10. Information: (800) 656-9278.
