Chapman Falls to Biola in Men’s Soccer
Eddie McRae scored the game-winner off a rebound in overtime as Biola beat visiting Chapman, 2-1 in nonconference men’s soccer Tuesday.
Nate Wright scored the tying goal in the 90th minute for Biola (3-1) to force overtime. Biola outshot Chapman, 22-10.
Colin McLean scored in the fourth minute off an assist from Roberto Hernandez for Chapman (2-2).
Chapman played without No. 1 goalie Paul Gerdis, who sat out after receiving a red card in a 2-0 loss to Southern California College on Sept. 4. Junior forward Mike Sterner filled in at goalie and made seven saves.
In nonconference women’s soccer:
Southern California College 10, Pacific Christian 0--Jamie Gardner had three goals and Amanda Draxler two for SCC (3-1).
In nonconference women’s volleyball:
UC Riverside 3, Southern California College 0--SCC struggled against UC Riverside (5-5), which won, 15-2, 15-4, 15-6. SCC dropped to 5-2.
In nonconference women’s volleyball:
The Masters 3, Concordia 1--The Master’s handed Concordia its eighth loss this season, beating the Eagles in four games, 15-10, 15-9, 9-15, 16-14.
Sophomore Wendy Ames had 15 kills to lead Concordia (2-8).
