Waiting to Savor the Chill of Victory

* Dana Parsons’ Aug. 26 column brought back a lot of memories (some very painful), especially the part about the Red Sox fan who had the champagne on ice.
I still have the bottle of champagne in my refrigerator that I bought to celebrate the Angels finally making it to the World Series.
It has survived 11 years, four moves and numerous parties. My only hope is that I get to open it and won’t have to pass it on to one of my sons.
