ACTING OUT

Amanda Kravat of the New York band Marry Me Jane must be feeling pretty good about herself. Not only was the group asked to open a stretch of shows on Aerosmith’s upcoming tour, but she also was picked by Woody Allen for a role in his next movie. Just one problem: Both the tour and the filming are happening at the same time this month.

Kravat, not wanting the band to miss this opportunity, at first turned down Allen’s offer. But when the director expressed his regrets, Kravat started looking into having it both ways. Nothing’s definite yet, but with Aerosmith playing only every other day, she hopes to fly back to New York on off days if the shooting schedule will accommodate her. Meanwhile, she also has a part in the next Keenen Ivory Wayans film, “Most Wanted,” coming in November.
