Mike Lynn, best remembered by Minnesota Vikings fans for gutting the team’s future with the Herschel Walker trade, said Thursday he remains interested in buying the team, though he has had no serious talks with the owners since late last year.

The Vikings acknowledged this week that the team has been for sale the last two months.

Among those interested in the team is Red McCombs, a founder of the NBA’s San Antonio Spurs, who said he made a $150-million offer that was rejected six weeks ago.

St. Louis Ram President John Shaw had his first day on the stand in the city’s $130-million antitrust lawsuit against the NFL.

The city paid the Rams $75 million in upfront money when the team moved from Anaheim.

Shaw said the Rams were able to extract such a bounty because the league discourages teams from moving. He said the team asked for so much because it feared a protracted legal battle.
