New York City Ballet principal Darci Kistler has canceled a lecture she was to give Thursday at UC Irvine because of the death of Stanley Williams, one of her mentors and teachers. Kistler also canceled classes she was planning to teach at the school next week as UC regents’ lecturer in dance. UCI officials expect to reschedule the residency for the spring. Williams was co-chairwoman of the School of American Ballet, the New York ballet troupe’s academy.
