Community members who want to help Conejo Valley youths stay away from drugs and alcohol are being sought for the Conejo Substance Abuse Prevention Authority’s Citizen Advisory Committee.
Committee members will meet once a month and work with residents and government and nonprofit agencies to combat drug and alcohol use by youth.
The group sponsors several events each year including Red Ribbon Week and a parenting fair.
The Conejo Substance Abuse Prevention Authority is a cooperative effort of the Conejo Valley Unified School District, the city of Thousand Oaks, county of Ventura and the Conejo Recreation and Park District.
Applications for the committee are available at the office of the city clerk, 2100 Thousand Oaks Blvd., or by calling 449-2151.
