Calnetics’ Earnings Flat, Sales Up 2% for Quarter

Calnetics Corp. posted flat earnings for the quarter that ended Sept. 30 on a 2% increase in sales.
For the quarter, Calnetics posted a profit of $400,000 compared with a $404,000 profit a year earlier. Sales in the latest quarter rose to $8.59 million, compared with $8.45 million in the same period a year earlier.
The Chatsworth-based company is a maker of various components and filters used in the building materials and agricultural irrigation industries.
Calnetics’ shareholders are scheduled to vote Oct. 28 on the proposed sale of Calnetics for $7.35 per share to Summa Industries.
