Boeing Business Jets and Executive Jet will announce a joint venture today that will allow several customers to co-own a single plane. The aim is to make corporate planes more affordable for firms that don’t need a plane at their disposal full time. Montvale, N.J.-based Executive Jet’s NetJets unit operates 90 time-shared aircraft, with 140 more on order. Boeing Business Jets is itself a joint venture of Boeing and General Electric.
