Holiday Closings
Columbus Day will be observed Monday. The following schedules will be in effect:
* All county, state and federal offices will be closed. City offices will be open, except in Stanton.
* County, state and federal courthouses will be closed.
* County libraries will be closed. City libraries in Anaheim, Newport Beach, Mission Viejo, Santa Ana and Huntington Beach will be open.
* Some banks and savings and loans will be closed. Check with your bank for hours.
* Schools: All schools, including colleges and universities, will be open.
* Mail: There will be no mail delivery. All post offices will be closed, and mail deposited in mailboxes Monday will be picked up according to the posted holiday schedule.
* Trash: Trash will be collected on a regular schedule.
* Buses: Orange County Transportation Authority buses will run on a regular schedule.
* Parks: All city- and county-run parks and recreation facilities will be open during regular hours.
