What Are You Drinking
“This year my family came here for the Napa Valley Wine Auction, so we celebrated by opening one of the best bottles in my cellar, a 1985 Chateau Montrose. The wine was very good, very vibrant, still very young. The color was a deep, deep ruby and fairly brilliant. The fruit was very rich. It was still young for me and a bit closed, but it opened up after decanting. It was typical of young Montrose.”
