City’s Name Pulled From Parking Stickers

The stickers that residents must display on their vehicles to park on public streets overnight will no longer bear the city’s name because of fears it could provoke gang violence.
City officials said having “La Habra” on the stickers could cause territorial rivalries to flare.
The overnight parking ordinance ad hoc committee, which made that decision, now is studying the impact of repealing the sticker system entirely.
