Birkhauser Leads SCC in Volleyball

Sally Birkhauser had 19 kills to help Southern California College defeat Azusa Pacific, 15-11, 15-10, 9-15, 10-15, 15-10, in a Golden State Athletic Conference women’s volleyball match Tuesday at SCC.
Noelle Sturgill had 10 kills, five blocks and 21 digs for the Vanguards (11-5, 2-2 in conference). Azusa Pacific is 5-7, 1-3.
In another conference match:
Fresno Pacific 3, Concordia 0--Fresno Pacific (16-1, 3-1), ranked fifth in the NAIA, won, 15-10, 15-6, 15-1. Sarah Roberts had 11 kills for Concordia (3-14, 0-4).
In Golden State Athletic Conference men’s soccer:
Azusa Pacific 4, Southern California College 0--Jason Rouff scored twice for Azusa Pacific (7-2, 1-0), ranked sixth in the NAIA. SCC is 5-6, 0-1.
Point Loma Nazarene 3, Concordia 1--Shay Fox scored for Concordia (3-6, 0-1).
