Cindy (Andrea Friedman), a young woman with Down’s syndrome who lives in a group home, is happy when she finds Smudge (TNT, Sunday at 3:30 p.m.), a wet and cold puppy rummaging through the garbage. She hides him at the home and takes him to the hospital where she works. There, he brings joy to many patients but as Christmas approaches, Cindy and Smudge are separated. For the family.

Country singer Randy Travis narrates Annabelle’s Wish (Fox, Sunday at 7 p.m.), an original animated holiday special about a calf born on Christmas Eve with a wish to fly like one of Santa’s reindeer. For ages 4 to 8.

Herbie the Volkswagen Beetle returns in an update of a Disney classic, The Love Bug, on “The Wonderful World of Disney†(ABC, Sunday at 7 p.m.). Herbie finds a friend in failed race car driver Hank Cooper (Bruce Campbell). John Hannah plays a villain who builds “Horace the Hate Bug†to challenge Herbie. For the family.
