Happy Trails

I just finished reading Gwen Davis’ bittersweet essay about her dog Happy’s last trip to France (“Travels With Happy,” Oct. 12). I recently had to bid farewell to my darling little companion of 16 years under similar circumstances. Thank you, Gwen Davis. Happy’s story and his charming picture are carefully pressed between the pages of one of my many “dog books.”
