Hart Gets Flip Side Again, Hits Road
Hart High football Coach Mike Herrington saw his record in coin flips fall to 1-10 Saturday when he lost a flip that will force the Indians to play on the road against Peninsula in a Southern Section Division II semifinal game Friday night.
Peninsula (12-0), seeded No. 1 in the division, is searching for a site. Harbor College is under consideration.
Antelope Valley (8-3) will play at Ayala (11-1) on Saturday night in the other Division II semifinal game.
Notre Dame (10-2) will play at Righetti (7-5) in Santa Maria on Saturday night in a Division III semifinal game. Notre Dame beat Righetti, 48-14, in last year’s opening round, but Righetti has upset Crescenta Valley and Westlake to reach the semifinals.
In Division X, Carpinteria will play at Moorpark on Friday.
Unbeaten Loyola will play Long Beach Poly in a Division I semifinal game on Saturday night at Glendale High or Pierce College.
