CORVALLIS, Ore. — Mike O’Quinn, Cal State Northridge’s leader in scoring and suspensions, did not accompany the team to Oregon State after verbally sparring with Coach Bobby Braswell during a conditioning drill at practice Tuesday.
“Let’s just say he is suspended for conduct detrimental to the team,” Braswell said.
Earlier this season, O’Quinn, a senior forward who scored 26 points in the opener against Arizona State, was suspended for a week of practice.
Braswell said he will meet with O’Quinn today and expects to reinstate him.
O’Quinn missed a chance to play against his cousins, Oregon State sophomore Corey Benjamin and senior Sonny Benjamin.
O’Quinn also served a suspension as a Loyola Marymount freshman in 1993.
