The manager of a coffeehouse remained in critical condition Wednesday after being knocked down and repeatedly kicked in the head by a man who then robbed two other employees, police said.
Eric John Stiff, 26, is in the intensive care unit at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center with head injuries after being attacked as he was closing the Coffee Table on Larchmont Boulevard at 10:25 p.m. Monday, said a Los Angeles Police Department detective. Although, his head injuries are severe, Stiff is expected to survive, police said.
“This is a low-crime neighborhood and we haven’t had this kind of robbery in this area,†said Wilshire Division Lt. Ross Moen, who plans to increase patrols on Larchmont Boulevard.
Anyone with information about the robbery can call Det. Dave Reeser (213) 847-3871.
