Jones Does It All for the Blizzard

Carolyn Jones scored a game-high 20 points, pulled down 10 rebounds and handed out five assists in the New England Blizzard’s 78-70 victory over the Philadelphia Rage at home before 3,247 Sunday night.

Dawn Staley led the Rage (4-4) with 19 points. Teammate Adrienne Goodson added 17 and pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds.

New England (4-4) led, 69-67, late in the fourth quarter when Jones sank two free throws with 2:19 left, beginning a 9-3 run that finished off the Rage. New England converted nine of 10 free throws.

Seattle 72, San Jose 64--Val Whiting scored 18 points and Shalonda Enis added 16 as the Reign (3-7) held off the Lasers (2-7) before 3,103 at San Jose.
