This one-hour special uses the beauty of ice skating to raise awareness of testicular cancer, which champion figure skater Scott Hamilton was found to have earlier this year. Hamilton, one of the most beloved skaters ever, has completed treatment for the illness and discusses his experience during the special. Testicular cancer is commonly diagnosed in young men. With treatment, survival rates are high. The celebration of Hamilton’s life and skating career also features performances by skaters including Brian Boitano. Olivia Newton-John and Kenny G also perform.
