In another Mission League game:

Serra 19, Chaminade 3--Scoring for the Eagles (2-6, 1-2) was limited to a 29-yard field goal by Nick Onesto on the road against first-place Serra (5-3, 3-0).

Serra quarterback Robert Lewis left the game with a knee injury in the first quarter after he was sacked. The junior did not return.

Matthew Markis rushed for 59 yards in 22 carries for Chaminade.

Onesto’s field goal on the first play of the second quarter cut Serra’s lead to 6-3.

But Jemeel Powell returned a punt 96 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter to extend the Cavaliers’ lead to 12-3.
