HOLIDAY BOUTIQUES: The United Methodist Women of Tujunga will hold their annual holiday boutique from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today at United Methodist Church, 9901 Tujunga Canyon Blvd. Harps of the Valley will entertain at a luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The luncheon costs $4.50. PASTOR INSTALLATION: The Rev. Kenneth Reynen will be installed as pastor of Grandview Presbyterian Church at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the church, 1130 Ruberta Ave., Glendale. A doctoral of ministry candidate, Reynen is working on church renewal and revitalization. He comes from Norco, where he served at the Church on the Hill for nine years, and previously pastored churches in New York, Iowa and Michigan. CELEBRATING GERSHWIN: Pianist Dorothy Lewis-Griffith will perform George Gershwin tunes in honor of his 100th birthday anniversary at 4:30 p.m. Sunday at David Familian Chapel of Adat Ari El, 12020 Burbank Blvd., North Hollywood. The program will include piano solo arrangements of “Rhapsody in Blue,†“Porgy and Bess,†the “Concerto in F†and the “Second Rhapsody.†Lewish-Griffith recently toured China with the Gershwin program and released her first recording of piano solos.
