U.S. Parks Symposium Set at Autry Museum

The Gene Autry Museum of Western Heritage will host a symposium on “The National Parks: The Paradox of Preservation and Use” on Aug. 9.
The symposium, which runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., will be moderated by Michael Duchemin, curator of the exhibition “Western Wonderlands: Touring America’s National Parks.”
John Garamendi, deputy secretary of the Interior, is the scheduled keynote speaker.
Admission is $25, and reservations are required.
