Pamela Nguyen Gets Board’s Student Seat

Pamela Nguyen, a senior at Foothill High School, has been chosen as the student member of the Tustin Unified School District Board of Education for 1997-98, succeeding recent graduate Phillip Gruber.
Nguyen was sworn in this week. As a nonvoting member of the panel, she will serve as a student liaison to the board, relaying information and offering suggestions.
Nguyen, 17, is a member of Foothill’s student council, features editor of the student newspaper and a volunteer at Western Medical Center-Santa Ana. She was selected for the school board post by a committee of trustees, district administrators, and Foothill and Tustin High School students.
