Berkson Delivers on Several Fronts

Matt Berkson had three hits and pitched a five-hitter with seven strikeouts for North Hollywood East in a 7-5 victory over Woodland Hills East in a District 20 game Tuesday at Franklin Field.
Eric Long’s two-run single in the seventh inning put North Hollywood East ahead for good.
Berkson had a double and a triple and scored two runs. Alfredo Saenz had two hits, including a home run, and drove in two runs for Woodland Hills East (17-5).
Central Valley 9, Valley North 5--Central Valley used five hits, a walk and an error to score seven runs in the second at Cleveland High.
Justin Savitt had three hits for Central Valley (15-5).
Micah Berger had a triple and a home run for Valley North (17-5).
Panorama City 13, Granada Hills West 5--Rafael Arroyo had four hits and drove in three runs for Panorama City (15-5-1) at Granada Hills High.
John Ennis added two hits and four RBIs for Panorama City.
Antelope Valley South 13, Quartz Hill North 2--Anthony Barton hit a two-run home run, his 10th of the season, in a six-run fourth for Antelope Valley South (15-7) at Paraclete High.
Granada Hills East 8, Sun Valley 3--Jack Cassel had a single, double and triple for Granada Hills East (16-6) at Poly High.
