One drowning occurred at Lake Piru and the other took place at a popular surfing spot near the Ventura Harbor.
At 4:02 p.m., 26-year-old Jack Kedafin of Glendale drowned in the Pacific Ocean off Surfer’s Knoll on Spinnaker Drive in Ventura. Paramedics tried to revive him using cardiopulmonary resuscitation, authorities said.
A five-hour search ended when the body of a man was pulled from Lake Piru by the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department dive team about 6 p.m., authorities said.
