Lloyd to Head County AIDS Walk Publicity
Jill Lloyd, spokeswoman and event promoter for the Orange County Fairgrounds, will help lead the publicity committee for the AIDS Services Foundation’s 12th annual AIDS Walk Orange County.
Lloyd, who has been involved with the foundation for six years, is volunteering all services.
The 10K walk at UC Irvine on June 7 is expected to draw 13,000 participants. Since 1987, the event has raised more than $3 million for disease-related services.
Lloyd also will participate in the California AIDS ride, a bicycle race from San Francisco to Los Angeles in May and June. “I am training,†she said of the grueling ride.
Since its inception in 1994, the charity has brought in $65 million nationwide.
Lloyd heads Jill Lloyd and Associates, a private company contracted by the fair and other events.
