Unseasonably cold temperatures in Tempe, Ariz., have taken some of the glitz off the Fiesta Bowl, which prides itself on both its hospitality and warm winter weather.
Still, for the teams from Syracuse and Kansas State, it beats the weather at home.
“We thought it would be a bit hotter, but we found out that at night it gets a little nippy in the desert,” Syracuse tight end Roland Williams said. “The days have been nice. We’re really enjoying it because I heard they had a blizzard in Syracuse. I’m glad I’m not there now.”
